We need someone who has the ability to translate a vision, to see the big picture, and to communicate well with a wide range of disciplines. Someone whose primary skillset is utilizing impeccable writing skills to create engaging content with a relatable voice for our target audience using highly searched keywords that drive organic search.

Reporting to the Manager of Merchandising Ops & Content Writing, the Content Writer will be responsible for the following:

  • Write compelling, accurate, and on-brand e-commerce product copy
  • Self-edit and proofread content to ensure the message speaks to the target audience, is consistent and grammatically correct, adheres to the in-house style guides, and has the appropriate brand voice
  • Utilize Search Engine Optimization (SEO) practices to drive organic search traffic
  • Uphold high standards for proper grammar usage and sentence structure for all written communication
  • Work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams including external partners
  • Assist the Merchandising Operations team with completing all tasks needed to make sure products are displayed optimally

The role can work out of our offices in Middletown, Delaware or NYC (Times Square).

Specific qualifications we are looking for include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, or Communications
  • Experience in writing copy for the Web
  • Experience with SEO and knowledge about product writing
  • Solid time management skills with the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects
  • Naturally organized and detailed oriented
  • Digital marketing experience is a plus!
